The Korean Pro Wrestling Association, a co-sanctioning body for the Martial Arts Title, has released their official Top 10 Rankings for the Martial Arts Title. They are Listed below.

History of the NWA Martial Arts Title



This is the Martial Arts Title revived by NWA Heat Wave in cooperation with Kim Il's promotion of the Korean Pro Wrestling Association.

KPWA then revived the NWA Orient Title now being held by the Super Dragon.

Recent title history:

Title Established October 10th 1974 when Kendo Nagasaki wins 12 man tournament for title.

The Ninja wins the title from Kendo Nagasaki July 21, 1978.

The Ninja loses the title to The Great Kabuki February 4, 1979.

Title loses sanction March 1982 when Great Kabuki fails to defend the title during a 3 year long US tour.

Title re-established with 20 man tournament. Champion Ultimo Dragon crowed October 11, 1996.

Jushin Thunder Liger defeats Ultimo Dragon for title January 4, 1997.

Nobutaka defeats Jushin Thunder Liger for title June 19, 1997.

Genichiro Tenryu defeats Nobutaka January 14, 1998. May 5, 1998 title.

Title loses sanction September 1998 because Genichiro Tenryu fails to defend title.

Title re-established by WWA Promotion in Florida 1998.

The Dark Ninja is declared Champion in 10 man battle royal April 10, 1998.

Shane Miller defeats the Dark Ninja September 22, 1998 to win title.

WWA Promotion get sold to Gerald Patterson.

Shane Miller is picked up by NWA CWFL promotion and title is re-established as NWA CWFL Martial Arts Title.

Blade Walker defeats Shane Miller March 19th, 2004 to become NWA CWFL Martial Arts Champion.

October 2004 NWA CWFL divides into NWA Global, NWA South Atlantic, and NWA Heat Wave.

NWA South Atlantic recognizes Blade Walker as the Martial Arts Champion.

NWA Heat Wave holds 6 man tournament to establish Martial Arts Champion co-sanctioned by the Korean Pro Wrestling Association and The Korean Martial Arts Instructors Association.

Shane Miller wins 6 man tournament to become NWA Heat Wave Martial Arts Champion.

Korean Mixed Martial Arts Champion Super Dragon Whang Pyo Lee is not allowed to compete in tournament due to knee injury.

KPWA protests tournament due to Super Dragon's non-participation and demands title shot to be scheduled for March 2005.

Promoters fail to agree on terms of match and Super Dragon did not get title shot.

Title loses sanction January 2006 for lack of defense.

Title re-established July 29th when Shane Miller defeats Devious Danny.

Title unified August 26th, 2006 when Blade Walker defeated American Dragon Shane Miller in Bushnell, Florida.

August 27th, 2006 American Dragon Shane Miller defeats Blade Walker in title re-match in Ocala, Florida. Blade Walker challenges American Dragon to a match September 9th in Eustis, Florida.

September 9th 2006 Blade Walker defeats American Dragon Shane Miller by knockout to win the title in Eustis, Florida.
